Community Engaged Teaching Fellows
The Community Engaged Teaching Fellows program provides educators at UBC Vancouver with a structured and a cohort-based pathway to design community-engaged educational experiences. Faculty who join the Fellows’ community are eligible for a grant of up to $5000, supporting the effective development and delivery of community engaged learning in their courses and programs.

3) Course design and partnership | Aligning a community’s strength with course objectives |
4) Student reflection and assessment | Learning outcomes (intellectual, social, and emotional) |
5) Community engagement as scholarship | Defining and creating roadmaps for engaged scholarship |
How to Sign Up
Applications for the 2024 cohort are now closed.
To be eligible for the next cohort, you must commit to five in-person sessions during August 2025.
If you are a UBC faculty member interested in joining this cohort program, please contact the Centre for Community Engaged Learning at community.learning@ubc.ca with a brief explanation of your goals for joining next year’s cohort. The deadline to express your interest is April 30, 2025.
